Messolonghi by Locals is a three-day festival born from the community itself.
It showcases the city’s cultural heritage through diverse experiences - cultural routes, workshops, concerts, discussions, and art exhibitions - spread across Messolonghi’s historic streets, lagoon, and nearby Arakynthos mountain.More than an event, it’s an annual gathering that connects the people of Messolonghi through creativity, collaboration, and pride.
Funded by the “Messolonghi by Locals” project, the festival reflects the city’s living identity - shaped by those who call it home. -
In the strange year of 2020, right after the COVID-19 pandemic, a fearless group of Messolonghi locals decided on one thing: life must go on.
The challenge?
To create a social, participatory festival that would reconnect people, spark optimism, and go viral - during one of the hardest times for public events. -

We helped shape the future of the festival through a strategy built to grow and last.Designed a scalable festival model, ready for expansion in the coming years.
Developed a comprehensive communication campaign, aligning vision and community voice.
Created an agile multimedia strategy - blending social media, digital storytelling, and on-ground activations.
Established media relations, invested in PR and community building, and clarified the festival’s purpose as both a local and cultural brand.
The result: a living, evolving festival that celebrates Messolonghi through its people - their creativity, stories, and shared sense of place.
